Last Ditch

Far away in the hills beyond most other lands is a small town called Marverence: a strange but peaceful city cloaked in a warm golden sky. The townsfolk will welcome anyone with open arms. They'll speak of their fine shop, wonderful food, and insist for travelers to stay a night or two. But those wise enough will leave quickly,  because there's an open secret shared between the people. They're preparing themselves for the End of the World.

Forced to leave her old city, a young woman named Ambra has found herself living in the town for a while now. Even though the End of the World is upon them, she finds herself feeling good and excited. Why? Because she finally gets to meet YOU, the most recent visitor to the town of Marverence.

Last Ditch is a Short and Heartfelt Meta Visual Novel about the End of the World for Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms. Spend what little time you have in the town of Marverence talking and building relationships with the characters you meet. Be careful about the decisions you make, however. Nothing can be taken back and when everything is over, it's over.

• Mechanics of the Game Reflect the Story: since it's the End of the World every decision matters. The game auto-saves after choices but the player cannot cannot make saves themselves.  This allows for players to play in sessions if they desire, but they'll come right back to where they left off with all the choices they've already made. And once the game has been completed, it's over.
• Original Soundtrack (with one exception)
• Attraction System that allows for new dialogue choices depending on how close you are to a character.
• Money and Inventory System. What could happen if you give certain items to specific characters at different time?
• Two different endings depending on your choices.
• Dating Tormis the Shopkeep?! It's possible.
• Secrets are abound...

That's meeeee! I am the solo and lead developer of Last Ditch. I am the programmer,  artist for everything in the game, writer, and composer. It was a lot of work making it this far. I hope you enjoy my game!
